Keene, NH | Brattleboro, VT Portrait Photographer

Hello!

Thank you for stopping by! K. Lenox Photography has moved their blog!   A lot has changed since I last blogged here.  For the most up to-date info.... please check out:http://www.klenoxphoto.com/blog

But... since you are here, I will chat a little bit about what will be up and coming for the year of 2014!  For starters, I am initiating a new charitable giving initiative that will provide free photo sessions to  deserving members of our community.  The title of this program is, "You Inspire", and will be launched sometime in the near future.   The gist of it is this: our fellow community members will be able to nominate someone who is deserving of a free photo session.  This person might have beat cancer, or been terminally diagnosed.  Maybe this person is a single mother who is working three jobs to make ends meet.  Or possibly a young child who stood up against a bully for a helpless younger friend. The possibilities are endless!  One person will be chosen monthly.  We (my business partner and I) will be announcing all the fine details sometime during the month of March.

Also... for the members of the class of 2015... this next announcement is for you!   This year, K. Lenox Photography is teaming up with the artists from Studio H Hair Salon to offer you an amazing opportunity to save $50 off your senior portrait session!  All you have to do is schedule to have your hair and make-up professionally done for your photo session! Yep.. that is it!  You get pampered and save money while you do it!  Senior portrait sessions begin at just $100.  The all-inclusive collection prices are in the works, but will be announced soon.

 K. Lenox Photography has teamed up with Dana from Firefly Photography to form a new sister company:   OneLove Imagery.  Onelove is our sister photography business that focuses solely on weddings!  We offer high-end emotive wedding coverage.  So if your getting married... please stop by our site and see if we might be a fit for you!!

And the final update for now.... K. Lenox now has a studio, which is located right in the heart of downtown Keene!  We are working on Simple Studio Sessions!  Details are in the works!

K. Lenox Photography offers fun and unique photo sessions and specializes in high school senior portraits, children and small families.  We are located in Keene/ West Chesterfield, NH and proudly serve the Monadnock Region of Southern NH and beyond.

Ashleigh {Class of 2013}

Everybody already knows just how much I adore being a photographer.  It is honestly hard to call it work.  I cherish every person that I have the honor of photographing, and I am always just so amazed when I am the one chosen to capture their memories!  You know the cliche` "If you love your job, you never have to work a day in your life"? Well, that is ever so true!  I am doing what I truly feel I was meant to do...and I am learning something new everyday.  Everyday I strive to improve.... I put my heart and soul into this business, so that is why I was so thrilled to have been asked to be a mentor!

I am mentoring a  Senior who is looking to pursue a career in photography.  I took that as the ultimate compliment!  Ashleigh is working with me for her senior project.  Together we are going to be working  to develop her portfolio for admission into a photography school.    We will be learning camera settings and their meanings, different techniques, editing and of course the business aspect too!  At the end of her senior year.. she will have developed a fantastic portfolio, and a sense of what it is like to run a legit photography business.

We have met a few times already, but yesterday we had the opportunity to actually have some camera time.  For the first true learning session, we had a photo shoot! Ashleigh was the model, to get a feel of what it is like to be on the other end of the camera.  While doing this... we captured some amazing shots!!  Take a peek!!

Ashleigh... I'm looking forward to working with you this year!!

Destinee {Class of 2013}

I had the honor of working with Destinee yesterday for her Senior Portraits!   Despite the iffy weather that cancelled our session for Monday... and us getting off to a rough start yesterday... (okay okay... that was my fault for forgetting to bring a memory card with me... DUH! Silly me) Anyway...  We ended up having an awesome session, and captured many stunning images!

Destinee  was just so "chill".... (and I'm not referring to the chilly weather that she dealt with yesterday, which by the she was a trooper!!!)  She was just so natural, relaxed and fun to be around!  She has an amazing style about her.... I absolutely adored her outfits!

Senior year is a time to start thinking about the... (GULP)... FUTURE  For some they don't know what they want to do for "the rest of their lives", and others are 100% certain.  I know I mentioned before.... if you asked me what I wanted to be when I was a senior in high school, a photographer would NOT have been the answer, but here I am... and loving every minute of it!  I originally wanted to be an elementary teacher, and did attend College for a semester for just that, then I switched to a technical school to learn the field of nursing... and now... Photographer!  Go figure! lol    I truly believe that you must follow your heart and do what you want to do with your life if you want to be happy and successful.   When I asked Destinee what she wanted to do after graduation... she didn't hesitate, but rather answered me very proudly.

Destinee has plans to attend Keene State College for a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Fabulous choice!  And because she was just so chill and easy going... I can see her being an amazing teacher to these little people we call children.  I have a deep respect for our educators.  They have such an amazing, yet difficult job.  Our teachers have such an impact on our children, so I truly feel that it is important that we continue to have quality teachers in our community!  I have no doubt that Destinee will be just that!

So why don't I end here.. and show you some pictures!!  Yay!!!  Here ya go!!

*Please Note... Resolution is much better when images are viewed on a photographers website*

Destinee... Thank you so very much!!!
Good Luck with your Senior Year!!
Go Class of 2013!

Emily {Class of 2013}

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with Emily!  We lucked out with some fabulous weather, and I was lucky to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing gal!

Emily is a senior at Monadnock Regional High School, and after graduation she plans on pursuing a career in health care.   She isn't quite sure whether she wants to be a Nurse, a Nurse Practitioner, or a  Physician Assistant , but she is 100% about working in that field.   I find that no surprise... her Momma is a nurse, and Emily came across as a very caring individual.  I have no doubt that what ever she decided to do... she is going to be excellent!

Caring.... Emily was that!  But she was also, so easy going, free and fun!  She even had this pink chunk hi-lite in her hair to represent Breast Cancer Awareness!  How Cool is that!!  This gal is beautiful inside and out! Truly... she is a natural.  My camera LOVED her!  I seriously had the hardest time choosing which pictures to keep!  There was just too many good ones!

Her brother was there... which proved to be super beneficial!  He is a great assistant, as I put him to work helping with moving my flashes! Thanks Alex!  You are a trooper!

Well.. I know that you want to see more pictures!! So here ya go!!
